Notary Public General powers:

A Notary Public acts as a witness to receive the acknowledgement of certain written instruments, to administer oaths in civil matters and to make protests and declarations in certain commercial transactions.

Here are the guidelines:

All persons signing the document must be present at the time of the Notarial Act

Documents need to be signed in the presence of the Notary Public (not beforehand)

Each person involved in the Notarial Act needs to sign the Notary record book
